What i don't understand wolfie is if you have nothing positive to add to a thread why do you waste your time. You seem to do it quite a lot to posts like this and it seems like a perfectly sensible topic to me.

Yet you seem to want to rubbish a lot of what people post on here and it gets in the way of a good read.

Very nice - what about parts for a Mark 1 Galaxy?

I have spent hours trawling the net without much luck. I'm after some subtle extras to make the old gal look as though it's worth more than it is so we can get a few more years out of her. There is very little available for the Mark 1 and these parts shown above are too expensive to start cutting up.

There is a place on ebay that does a rear roof spoiler / lip. They also do a front spoiler and side skirts but you can't get a good view of the side skirts and the front spoiler is "not nice" IMO.

If I could get my hands on a Si front spoiler that would be a start.

Cheers

So who knows where these places are so steve P doesn't need to look quite so hard, if anybody knows (ie wolfie) wouldn't it be nice to tell us, after all this is supposed to be a forum for sharing information not an exam room.

Attached link is to one of the few sites that sell kits for the Mk1.

http://www.body-kit.co.uk/acatalog/ford_ga..._body_kits.html

To be honest these parts (those shown on the Mk1 Sharan) look like the plastic parts that would have been strapped on the front of capri or a marina in the 80's (how would I know that :16: ) No disrespect if you have these on your car but they are not quite my cup of tea - too much "style" if you get my drift.

However for the Mk2 galaxy there is generally a much wider range including spoilers and skirts that are more subtle but still very effective.

I again did a google but didn't come up with much. So yes ther are some parts available but the choice seems to be limited. If anybody would like to disagree and put me straight - please do - I don't mind being wrong

Mike, wolfie is the way he is and always has been on here.He has been a member under one name or another from when this forum was first started and knows a lot of stuff and has helped a lot of people, Yes he can be brash and sarcastic..believe me, what he posts these days in regards to sarcasm ... is nothing compared to what he used to post.

It takes all sorts to make a place like this work and succeed.

The latest Sharans and Alhambras have sill extensions / side skirts as standard. Has anyone priced these up or fitted them to an earlier car (they will probably only fit Mk2's though)?

If the price were right I would buy some and chop them about to make them fit a Mk1 (that's assuming they're GRP, chances are that they are actually ABS which is a pig to work with).

Yeah well OK but it hacks me off when I am trying to find something meaningful in relation to a problem only to find the thread spoilt by pointless time wasting nonsense. As you say it takes all sorts. He'll probably have a go at you next for using bold text!!!!

Hey Wolfie, thats great, thats what he wanted decent information and the help of wiser people on this forum. Thats probably why we all joined and the reason we keep looking up topics.

Last link excepted, what is the point? everybody knows how to use google but it doesn't always throw up the results which is why people come on here and ask isn't it?

I can't see the point of hiding information form your fellow co owners.

No one hides anything on here in regards to information.Wolfie has basically done what some peeps should/can do.Which is search the net.

If Google doesnt throw up the results that you want, then you search again useing different keywords. This goes for any search engine, inc the one on here.

People come on here looking for help, and we give it..Wolfie included.Just sometimes, some people expect us to find the answers for them when they havent even tried themselves.

Wolfie did suggest that the op searched the net.

I myself have sometimes spent a fair amount of time searching the net and this forum for info that a member needed.
